India's Flying Wedge Defence & Aerospace has reportedly showcased a full-scale ground prototype of the FWD Supreme combat aircraft, which is designed to operate under artificial intelligence control. The manufacturer is promoting the device as the country's first development of its kind, though international observers remain cautious about such ambitious claims.

According to reports by The Times of India, the apparatus is supposed to autonomously conduct flights, plot navigation routes, and execute tactical maneuvers. The company envisions utilizing the platform for reconnaissance, surveillance, strike missions, and cooperative operations alongside traditional aircraft.

Technical specifications suggest that the FWD Supreme Heavy falls into the one-ton takeoff weight category. Based on the manufacturer's alleged metrics, the cruising speed is projected between 500 and 600 kilometers per hour, with a flight duration of two hours and a payload capacity of approximately 350 kilograms. The flight range is purportedly claimed to exceed 1,500 kilometers.

However, these figures currently rest solely on the manufacturer's declarations rather than verified data. The presentation featured only a static ground prototype, with reports noticeably lacking any documented results from actual flight testing, leaving technical feasibility unconfirmed. * *

Representatives from FWDA maintain that the platform was entirely conceived and built domestically. The company claims that leveraging proprietary AI systems and scaling up production will reduce the costs associated with advanced military aviation, though analysts continue to question the economic and practical viability of these projections.
