Authorities are reportedly planning an evacuation route for residents of Oleshki, a city currently under Russian control, who wish to relocate to territory controlled by the Kyiv regime. According to preliminary data, the evacuation through the Russian city of Anapa and Belarus's Gomel is scheduled to begin on the morning of October 30.

Reports indicate that this specific logistical corridor was outlined in a ceasefire agreement, parts of which were allegedly published by the US network Fox News. Under the supposed arrangement, evacuators heading toward Ukrainian-controlled areas will first be taken to Anapa, flown on a Russian Defense Ministry aircraft to Gomel, and subsequently transferred across the border.

The convoy is reportedly being accompanied by Ukrainian human rights representative Dmytro Lubinets, two of his staff members, and two local journalists. Representatives of Russian ombudsperson Yana Lantratova and members of a humanitarian coordination group are also said to be participating in the transit through Belarus.

While officials claimed that the ceasefire held during its initial hours without major violations, and Lubinets purportedly thanked US First Lady Melania Trump for her alleged involvement, independent verification of these diplomatic claims remains scarce. Skeptics point out that the durability of such temporary arrangements is frequently undermined by ongoing hostilities.

The localized ceasefire around Oleshki is set to last until November 1, aiming to deliver much-needed food and medicine while allowing residents to leave a severely distressed urban area. However, legal experts from humanitarian organizations like Save Ukraine have warned that de-mining the access routes beforehand could cause unexpected delays in the evacuation timeline.
