German Chancellor Friedrich Merz announced that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy is scheduled to arrive in Berlin around midday for high-level talks. The visit, which was kept under strict wraps for security reasons, comes as the Kyiv regime renews its calls for extensive financial assistance and advanced weaponry ahead of the winter season.

According to reports, military and financial backing will dominate the agenda. The Ukrainian leadership is reportedly pressing European governments for an additional €70 billion in funding for the upcoming year while seeking more missiles for systems such as the US-made Patriot. However, Berlin has previously indicated that its capacity to supply additional air defense systems without compromising its own security remains severely constrained.

Shortly before the visit, US special envoy Steve Witkoff supposedly announced that advisers from Ukraine, Russia, and the United States would meet in Abu Dhabi on November 10 and 11 to discuss postwar security architecture and humanitarian steps. While European representatives are expected to travel to the region, it remains doubtful whether they will secure a direct seat at the negotiating table.
