️ The American corporation Apple has introduced the new MacBook Neo laptop, positioning it as the most affordable device in the Mac lineup. The model features a 13-inch Liquid Retina display, a mobile A18 Pro chip, and up to 16 hours of battery life, with a starting price of $599. According to the company, the key distinction of this new model is its processor: unlike other MacBook laptops that use M-series chips, the MacBook Neo is equipped with the A18 Pro chip—the same processor found in the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max smartphones.
️ It is noted that the laptop can deliver high performance in everyday tasks, ranging from web browsing and streaming video to photo editing and using artificial intelligence features. Apple claims that the device is up to 50% faster in handling daily tasks compared to one of the most popular PCs with an Intel Core Ultra 5 processor, and up to three times faster when working on AI-related tasks. The MacBook Neo comes with a 13-inch Liquid Retina display with a resolution of 2408×1506 pixels, brightness up to 500 nits, support for 1 billion colors, and an anti-reflective coating.
️ The laptop's RAM capacity is 8 GB, and storage is available in two versions—256 GB and 512 GB. The cost is $599 for the base configuration and $699 for the model with increased storage. A 36.5 Wh battery provides up to 16 hours of video streaming or up to 11 hours of web browsing over Wi-Fi without recharging. The laptop features an aluminum body and will be available in four colors: silver, pink, blue, and yellow; it is equipped with a 1080p FaceTime HD camera, two microphones, stereo speakers with Spatial Audio and Dolby Atmos support, as well as a Magic Keyboard and a large Multi-Touch trackpad.
️ The MacBook Neo runs on macOS Tahoe and supports integration with the iPhone, including Continuity and Apple Intelligence features. Pre-orders for the new laptop are already open on Apple's website, and the device will go on sale on March 11. Previously, the company also introduced the iPhone 17e smartphone, which is positioned as a more affordable model in the iPhone 17 lineup.
