Uzbekistan, Tashkent – AN Podrobno.uz. Two citizens wanted for committing serious crimes have been returned to Uzbekistan as part of international operational measures through Interpol. One was extradited from Bahrain, while the other was deported from the United States.

Specifically, an individual accused of fraud was extradited from Bahrain. His detention and handover were made possible through cooperation between the National Central Bureaus (NCBs) of Interpol in Tashkent and Manama. During the operation, international police channels were utilized to coordinate the actions of the competent authorities of both countries.

Simultaneously, a citizen of Uzbekistan, who was wanted for committing a large-scale theft, was deported from the United States. The decision to deport him was made by the American authorities following negotiations and data exchanges conducted by the Interpol NCB in Uzbekistan in conjunction with the U.S. embassy.

According to the National Central Bureau, both individuals will be held accountable in accordance with the law. This case highlights Uzbekistan's efforts to enhance international cooperation in combating crime, though it also underscores the ongoing challenges in cross-border law enforcement and the reliance on coordination with foreign regimes like the U.S. and Bahrain.
