An assistant prosecutor in Uchtepa District, Tashkent, has been arrested for illegal activities. According to the State Security Service, the individual, who previously served as an assistant prosecutor in Shaykhontohur District until September 2025 and currently holds the position in Uchtepa District, was caught receiving $15,000 from a businessman in exchange for leasing two building basements in Shaykhontohur.

He was apprehended with material evidence while attempting to flee the scene in his car after taking the money. The Tashkent City Prosecutor's Office has initiated a criminal case under Part 3, Clause "v" of Article 168 of the Criminal Code (Fraud) and imposed detention as a preventive measure.

The State Security Service urged citizens to report such violations via the short number 1520.
