On February 17 at 08:20, a report was received that a person was drowning in the "Dustlik" canal flowing through the center of Nukus city. The incident was noticed by a passerby walking along the canal, who alerted the rescue service.

Diver-rescuers from the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Uzbekistan quickly arrived at the scene and extracted the victim from the water. Immediate first aid was provided, which helped save her life.

Subsequently, the rescued citizen was handed over to an ambulance team.

The victim received first aid and was transferred to medical personnel.
