Head of the Presidential Administration Saida Mirziyoyeva reviewed a presentation on addressing traffic congestion, environmental issues, and public transport development at the Tashkent City Hall. She announced this on her Telegram channel.

The presentation was conducted by the Road Traffic Organization Center (RTOC), established by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev's decree on December 4, 2023.

Mirziyoyeva stated: "Implementation of the president's decision to modernize the transport system has begun. According to reports, large-scale work will soon start on installing 'smart' traffic lights, applying standard road markings, and organizing parking lots."

The meeting included Tashkent Mayor Shavkat Umurzakov and a representative from "Tashkent Invest," Alexander Gurko.

Mirziyoyeva added: "I hope the team under the mayor's leadership will dedicate all efforts to fully implement the decision. I will personally monitor its execution. I wish the team success in this crucial project for the capital."

The RTOC manages traffic flow in Tashkent, sets speed limits, installs surveillance cameras and charging stations, and develops parking infrastructure.
