A tragic night ride on a parent's Cobalt ended in disaster in the Karmana district of Uzbekistan's Navoi region. Underage teenagers without driving licenses caused a road accident that left one dead and another hospitalized.

According to the regional traffic safety department, the incident occurred on April 22 at around 9:00 PM in the Malik mahalla. The driver lost control, causing the car to veer off the road. Footage from the scene shows the vehicle sustained significant damage.

As a result of the crash, a 9th-grade student died at a medical facility. The second participant, an 11th-grade student, sustained injuries of varying severity and is under medical supervision.

Kun.uz reports that the car belongs to the father of the older teenager. The surviving student testified that his younger friend was behind the wheel at the time of the accident.

Investigators are working to determine who was actually driving at the moment of the collision and are looking into how the minors gained access to the car keys.
