The Minsk Automobile Plant (MAZ) intends to more actively recruit qualified specialists from Uzbekistan. Currently, over 120 Uzbek citizens work at the enterprise, earning an average of $800 to $1,000 per month.

The prospects for expanding hiring were discussed by Deputy Director of the Migration Agency Eler Toshtemirov, representatives of the Uzbek embassy in Belarus, and MAZ management. The parties reviewed the employment procedure, interview process, on-the-job training, and adaptation of new employees.

The Uzbek delegation inspected production workshops, a canteen, dormitories, and other social facilities of the plant. They also met with Uzbek citizens working there and explained the requirements of labor and migration legislation.

Following the negotiations, the parties agreed to accelerate candidate selection and expand recruitment of specialists based on the enterprise's staffing needs. The number of new vacancies and the start dates for recruitment have not yet been announced.

Earlier, the first participants of the organized employment program in Belarus complained about living and working conditions, which they said differed from what was promised.
