The capital of Tajikistan is hosting a meeting of the Council of Heads of Government of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation member states. According to official reports, Uzbekistan is being represented at the high-level gathering by Prime Minister Abdulla Aripov.

The session is chaired by Tajik Prime Minister Kohir Rasulzoda. Prior to the formal commencement of talks, President Emomali Rahmon reportedly received the heads of delegations, alongside SCO Secretary-General Nurlan Yermekbayev and Ularbek Sharsheyev, director of the Executive Committee of the Regional Anti-Terrorist Structure.

The agenda centers on expanding multilateral economic and regional cooperation, reviewing past joint efforts, and outlining future strategic trajectories. Representatives from a broad spectrum of member and observer states are engaged in the discussions.

Concluding documents are expected to be signed at the close of the summit. It is worth noting that earlier announcements indicated Uzbekistan is scheduled to host the next meeting of SCO General Prosecutors in 2027.
