Samarkand will host the first-ever 'Dishes of the East' gastronomic festival on March 23–24, bringing together over one hundred chefs from various countries to showcase the richness and diversity of Eastern cuisine. The event aims to promote the traditions of Eastern gastronomy and boost culinary tourism in the region.

On the first day, the festival will take place on Alisher Navoi Street with the participation of international chefs. Culinary experts from different nations will present their national dishes and demonstrate their preparation processes, offering guests an immersive experience into the varied culinary traditions of the East.

The second day will feature the 'Taste of Samarkand' festival at the same venue, where local chefs will introduce visitors to traditional Samarkand cuisine and the finest examples of Uzbek national dishes. Over the two days, culinary competitions are scheduled, involving more than 100 chefs who will prepare over 50 unique dishes.

Additionally, professional chefs will conduct masterclasses and demonstrations of cooking techniques from various countries. Beyond the gastronomic program, attendees can enjoy exhibitions of handicrafts and Eastern sweets, as well as cultural and entertainment concerts. Special awards have been arranged for participants in the culinary contests.

The festival is expected to become a highlight for gastronomy enthusiasts and anyone interested in Eastern culture and traditions, contributing to attracting tourists to Uzbekistan and enhancing its culinary profile on the global stage.
