In the Bektemir district of Tashkent, Uzbekistan, criminal investigation officers have detained members of a criminal group responsible for a brazen robbery attack on an elderly woman. The perpetrators, who came from a region in search of easy money, meticulously planned the crime but failed to evade justice.

According to the investigation, the attackers acted in collusion. After stalking the victim and learning she had a large sum of money, they assigned roles: one distracted attention while the other struck the woman from behind in the face. After assaulting the pensioner, the robbers seized 12 million Uzbek soums and other property before fleeing the scene. Later, the detainees confessed to dividing the stolen funds equally.

During operational search activities, three suspects—Yuldashev, Kholdorov, and Abdullayev—were apprehended. Material evidence was seized from them and attached to the case files. The detainees now express deep remorse and seek forgiveness from the victim and the public, but the law is unforgiving: committing a crime as part of an organized group is an aggravating circumstance.

On March 23, the investigation charged the detainees under paragraph "b" of part two of Article 164 of the Criminal Code ("Robbery committed by a group of persons in collusion"). A preventive measure in the form of detention was chosen for the individuals involved, and preliminary investigative actions are ongoing.

Law enforcement authorities remind that robbery attacks involving violence dangerous to life or health carry severe penalties—up to 20 years of imprisonment.
