In the Namangan region, an officer of the Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES) performed a heroic act by saving the life of a three-year-old child. The incident occurred in the Davlatabad district, when rescuer Ulugbek Askarov was returning home after his shift.

Passing by the “Katta Namangan” canal, the officer noticed a small child in the water, who was being rapidly carried away by a strong current. Without a moment's hesitation, Askarov jumped into the water. Thanks to his instant reaction and professionalism, the child was pulled ashore in time.

According to the ministry, the rescue moment was captured by a surveillance camera installed in a nearby house. The boy's condition is currently assessed as satisfactory.

Earlier, the MES published a video dedicated to hero rescuers who selflessly save citizens' lives in emergency situations every day.
