In the Fergana region of Uzbekistan, a couple has been arrested for attempting to sell their 1-year-and-7-month-old son for $35,000. The report was aired on the program "Bu Kun" of the Zo'r TV channel.

According to law enforcement, the husband and wife had agreed to sell the child to another person for the stated amount. They were apprehended during a sting operation while receiving the money, with physical evidence seized.

A criminal case has been initiated under relevant articles of the Criminal Code. Investigative actions are currently underway, and authorities are checking whether the suspects are involved in other crimes.
