President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev has appointed Giyosiddin Rejabov as his representative for cultural affairs, according to a presidential decree.

In connection with this appointment, Rejabov has been relieved of his previous position as head of a sector in the Department of Creative Economy and Tourism of the Presidential Administration.

Giyosiddin Rejabov has extensive experience in government structures related to cultural heritage. In 2018 and 2020, he served as chief inspector in the Main Scientific and Production Department for the Protection and Use of Cultural Heritage Sites.

He also worked as a chief specialist in the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic.
