In the Shaykhantakhur district of Tashkent, officers from the Bureau of Compulsory Enforcement (BCE) carried out an unusual operation to detain an alimony defaulter. The man was hiding in his mother's house, who works as a fortune teller, but failed to "foresee" the imminent visit of state enforcers.

Operatives visited the home early in the morning under the guise of citizens wanting to know their "future." While the woman conducted a fortune-telling session, the enforcers arrested the man right in his bed. Deep asleep, he had no time to resist and was taken into custody the same day for failing to meet his obligations.

According to Farrukh Toshpulatov, head of the BCE press service, the citizen was required to pay child support for two children amounting to one-third of his income. However, from November 2022 to February 2026, he completely ignored the debt, which ultimately reached approximately 75.5 million soums.
