️ Uzbek Energy Minister Jorabek Mirzamakhmudov had filed a complaint with law enforcement agencies seeking a legal assessment of posts by financial blogger Otabek Bakirov. On May 1, Bakirov and his lawyer Fayzulla Arslonov were summoned to the Yashnobod District Criminal Court.

️ However, the court session was not listed among the administrative offense cases scheduled for that date. Lawyer Komila Abdullayeva wrote on Facebook that they were initially told the hearing would be at the local police department, then at the Yashnobod District Interior Department, but after waiting for four hours, they were informed the hearing had been postponed.

️ Lawyer Fayzulla Arslonov stated that the judge needed to review the case documents and would later notify them of a new date. This situation drew criticism from the blogger and his legal team.

️ Otabek Bakirov criticized the minister, saying, “It seems the energy minister has nothing to do, filing complaints one after another. If he has so much energy, he should spend it on energy stability and shortages.” He added that every year from November to March, millions of Uzbek drivers cannot find out via the auto24 app whether gas will be available.

️ “Two winters have passed, and nothing has changed. If the minister had brilliantly solved these issues, I would have apologized and thanked him,” Bakirov said.
