In the first quarter of 2026, 45,200 individuals in Uzbekistan sold electricity generated by rooftop solar panels to the national grid, earning over 73.9 billion soums in total income, according to the Tax Committee.
The number of subsidy recipients under the 'Solar House' program increased nearly 3.5 times compared to the same period last year, while the total payout amount surged 9 times. In Q1 2025, only 12,746 citizens received subsidies totaling 8.147 billion soums.

Since April 1, 2023, the 'Solar House' program has provided a subsidy of 1,000 soums per kilowatt-hour of solar electricity fed into the unified energy system. Citizens can apply for the subsidy via the 'Cashback and Benefits' section in the 'Soliq' mobile app by selecting the 'Transfer to Card' option.
