Halima Khudoyberdiyeva was born on May 17, 1947, in Boyovut district of Syrdarya region. She graduated from the journalism faculty of Tashkent State University in 1972 and studied at the Higher Literary Courses in Moscow from 1975 to 1977.
She began her career at the magazine 'Saodat', then worked at the publishing houses 'Yoshlar' (1978-1982) and 'Yozuvchi' (1996-1998). From 1998 to 2003, she worked at 'Sanam' magazine, and from 2004 at the newspaper 'XXI asr'. She also chaired the Women's Committee of Uzbekistan.
Her first poems were published in a district newspaper when she was in 7th grade. Her poetry collection 'Ilk muhabbat' was published in 1967. Between 1973 and 1979, she released 'Oq olmalar', 'Suyanch tog‘larim', 'Bobo quyosh', and 'Issiq qor'. In 1983-1996, she published 'Sadoqat', 'Muqaddas ayol', 'Yuragimning og‘riq nuqtalari', and 'Bu kunlarga yetganlar bor'. 'Saylanma' and 'Yo‘ldadirman' were published in 2000-2005. She died on August 17, 2018.
To mark her birthday, Gazeta has prepared a test based on Khudoyberdiyeva's works.
