Uzbekistan, Tashkent – AN Podrobno.uz. Due to the temporary closure of Iranian and Israeli airspace, several international flights from and to Uzbekistan were unable to continue their journeys and returned to departure airports.
These include flights by Fly One Asia: 7Q4461 (Andijan – Medina) and 7Q342 (Medina – Tashkent). HH901 Qanot Sharq (Tashkent – Dubai) was also forced to return. Flights 2U7706 Fly Khiva (Medina – Andijan) and 9S3302 Air Samarkand (Jeddah – Tashkent) were redirected back to Medina and Jeddah airports.
Previously, U.S. President Donald Trump officially confirmed the start of a large-scale military operation against Iran, conducted jointly with Israel. According to him, the strikes aim to eliminate an "immediate threat" and prevent Tehran from acquiring nuclear weapons.
In an emergency address, Trump demanded that Iranian security forces immediately lay down their arms and threatened "inevitable death," emphasizing that this is the "only chance for the Iranian people to overthrow the regime."
Massive air and sea strikes targeted key facilities in Tehran and other regions, including buildings of the Ministry of Defense, Ministry of Intelligence, the residence of Ali Khamenei, and the Atomic Energy Organization. The operation aims to destroy Iran's missile industry and naval forces. According to Israeli sources, it will last four days.
Amid reports of U.S. Tomahawk missiles flying over Iraqi territory, Iranian and Israeli airspace was completely closed. An air raid alert was also recorded over Israel, with preliminary data indicating Iran launched missiles.
