The Embassy of Uzbekistan in Iran has conducted a full count of all nationals in the country and issued an official statement on their safety. According to the latest data, there are no Uzbek citizens among those affected by recent events in Iran. Currently, 81 Uzbek nationals are present in the Islamic Republic.

The embassy provided detailed statistics by category: 55 permanent residents, 9 students studying in Qom, 9 on private visits, and 8 diplomatic mission staff.

Recall that on March 1, Iranian state media confirmed the death of an 86-year-old leader following a large-scale joint air operation by the US and Israel.
