Tashkent – AN Podrobno.uz. Uzbekistan's State Security Service (SSS) has disrupted an underground drug laboratory operating in the basement of a residential building in the capital.

According to authorities, a 47-year-old Tashkent resident had established production and distribution of synthetic drugs. During an operation, a fully equipped lab was found in the basement. Seizures included 2.8 kilograms of finished narcotics, such as alpha-PVP and mephedrone, along with 11.5 liters of precursors and specialized equipment.

The investigation revealed that distribution occurred through a "dead drop" system in apartment building entrances and other public areas of the city. A personal search and vehicle inspection of the suspect uncovered 39 drug packages ready for sale.

Additionally, based on geolocation data from the detainee's phone, a hidden stash was located in the Havast district of Syrdarya region. It contained another 49.9 kilograms of substances and 48 liters of precursors intended for synthesizing new batches.

The suspect has been detained. Law enforcement continues investigative actions, including tracing channels for importing raw materials from abroad and identifying possible accomplices.
