According to the "Dunyo" news agency, 13 Uzbek citizens have been repatriated from Iran via Turkmenistan.
The Embassy of Uzbekistan in Ashgabat, in cooperation with the country's consulate in Iran, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, and other authorized agencies, implemented measures to receive citizens at the border, resolve visa and transport issues, and facilitate their return.
With the assistance of Turkmen state agencies, embassy staff in Ashgabat safely escorted the 13 citizens through the Turkmen-Iranian border post "Sarakhs" to Uzbekistan.
Since March 2, the activity of control points at the Turkmen-Iranian state border—"Gaudan-Bajgiran," "Artik-Lyutfabad," "Akyayla-Incheburun," and "Oltin Asir-Incheburun"—has been restored for the passage of citizens and vehicles.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan previously issued recommendations for citizens due to the escalating situation in the Middle East, including relying on official information and maintaining contact with diplomatic missions.
