The basic volume of natural gas consumption has been extended in all regions of Uzbekistan until March 15. The decision was made considering updated weather forecasts.

According to the Ministry of Energy, the extension is due to the influx of cold air masses into the country's regions. This refers to the social limit of 500 cubic meters per month, which applies during the heating season. It will remain unchanged until March 15.

The ministry clarified that after this date, further measures, if necessary, will be taken based on actual weather conditions.

Previously, the Ministry of Energy denied information circulating on social media about gas price increases from March 1. The ministry emphasized that tariffs remain unchanged, and the changes only affect the volume of the social norm.
