In the capital of Uzbekistan, Tashkent, a project for the construction of a new international airport includes plans for two runways, each 4 kilometers in length. The key parameters of the future facility were presented to President Shavkat Mirziyoyev during a presentation on modernizing the country's transport infrastructure.

According to the presented data, the first phase of the project envisions the construction of a passenger terminal covering 208.4 thousand square meters, along with the creation of a modern airfield complex. This facility is designed to handle up to 20 million passengers annually and facilitate up to 30 takeoffs and landings per hour.

The project also includes provisions for parking spaces for 169 aircraft. Information was provided to the president regarding the design and survey work being conducted at the site of the future airport, as well as the subsequent stages of project implementation.

The head of state instructed responsible agencies to ensure thorough technical and economic elaboration of the project, organize construction work in accordance with modern standards, and guarantee the long-term stable operation of the transport infrastructure. This initiative marks a significant step in developing the country's transport system and expanding international aviation connectivity.
