In the Davlatabad district of Namangan region, authorities have prevented a contract killing after receiving operational intelligence that a woman and her accomplice planned to murder her husband for $6,000. According to the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, information was obtained on March 4 indicating that a local woman intended to hire an unknown person to kill her spouse.

A joint operation was conducted by the State Security Service, the regional Internal Affairs Directorate, and the regional prosecutor's office. The suspects communicated with a conditional hitman via Telegram, with the woman specifying that her husband drives alone in a Cobalt car and should be killed in a deserted area on the "Andijan-Namangan" highway, after which the vehicle was to be burned, in exchange for the promised $6,000.

A staged murder scene was enacted, with the conditional hitman recording the simulation on video and showing it to the female client and her accomplice. The clients were apprehended red-handed while handing over $5,500 of the agreed sum to the conditional hitman.

A criminal case has been initiated under relevant clauses of Part 2, Article 25 and Article 97 (Attempted Intentional Murder) of the Criminal Code. The suspects have been detained in accordance with procedural norms, and investigative actions are currently underway.
