Video footage of a fatal traffic incident that occurred on February 25 on Nukus Street in Tashkent has surfaced online. The recording shows a traffic police inspector stepping onto the roadway through moving traffic, after which a BMW M4 vehicle abruptly changes lanes and hits the officer.

The driver fled the scene but stopped on the other side of the road. As a result of the collision, Junior Sergeant Khasilbek Eshnazarov sustained severe injuries and died three days later in the hospital. The vehicle was being driven by a 10th-grade student without a driver's license.

According to the Prosecutor General's Office, the teenager had previously been held accountable twice, and his parents had already been fined for improper upbringing. The BMW M4 is registered to 24-year-old Leyla Atadiyanova, who since 2024 has transferred control to unlicensed individuals 18 times and violated traffic rules 37 times.

The prosecutor's office has initiated a criminal case under Article 266 of the Criminal Code. On March 6, a memorial plaque was unveiled at the capital's Main Department of Internal Affairs in honor of the deceased.
