In Bekobod city, Tashkent Region, five minors have been detained on suspicion of involvement in the death of an 11th-grade student. According to Hayot Shamsutdinov, press secretary of the General Prosecutor's Office, the incident occurred following a verbal altercation among several teenagers, during which one of them inflicted stab wounds to the victim's chest area using a kitchen knife.
The victim was immediately taken to a medical facility but succumbed to his injuries despite receiving medical treatment. The General Prosecutor's Office reported that on March 11, a criminal case was initiated under Article 97 of the Criminal Code (Intentional Murder), and the suspected minor was apprehended in accordance with procedural norms.
On March 12, as part of the investigation, detention as a preventive measure was applied to all five suspected minors. Investigative actions are currently ongoing to determine all details and motives behind the crime.
Relatives of the deceased student, interviewed by Kun.uz, stated that after the initial dispute, other school students arrived in a group of five. Three of them were pupils from School No. 3 in the city, while two were students from a technical college. This case has once again highlighted the issue of violence among adolescents in society.
The grandmother of the deceased, Gavhar Yuldosheva, has called for action against all those responsible and expressed dissatisfaction that the families of the teenage boys did not visit her home to offer condolences. The incident has sparked renewed discussions about combating juvenile delinquency and familial responsibility in the community.
