The Islamic World Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ICESCO), in collaboration with Uzbekistan’s Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation, has announced the launch of an international scholarship program that will enable students to pursue quality education abroad with full financial support. The program covers tuition, dormitory accommodation, monthly stipends, and medical insurance, providing a comprehensive package for overseas study.

According to information from the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Saudi Arabia, each scholarship is funded through state institutions, ensuring coverage of all associated costs. This includes not only academic expenses but also living and health-related aspects, offering a holistic approach to supporting students during their studies.

Applications can be submitted on the official ICESCO International Scholarships website until May 15, 2026. The application deadline allows ample time for a wide range of students to apply, enhancing the program’s accessibility and reach.

The program is part of a Joint Action Plan signed between ICESCO and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan in May 2025 in Tashkent. This agreement underscores the ongoing cooperation between the two entities in fostering educational and cultural exchanges.

Previously, ICESCO launched the second phase of the competition for the annual “Cities of Poetry” award, dedicated to Samarkand. This highlights the organization’s broader efforts to promote cultural and educational initiatives in the region, complementing the scholarship program.
