President Shavkat Mirziyoyev of Uzbekistan held a telephone conversation with Grandmaster Javokhir Sindorov, the winner of the International Chess Federation (FIDE) Candidates Tournament. The President congratulated Sindorov on his victory, describing his achievement as "truly historic" and noting that his six wins out of 14 games represent a unique phenomenon in the world of sports.

During the call, President Mirziyoyev emphasized that Sindorov acted boldly and skillfully in matches against the world's strongest chess players, demonstrating strong will and high intellectual potential. He highlighted that these successes serve as a source of great pride for the nation and inspire the younger generation to pursue excellence in intellectual sports.

The President wished Sindorov success in the upcoming World Chess Championship match and pointed out that his participation in the 46th World Chess Olympiad in Samarkand will boost the national team's morale and confidence. Additionally, Mirziyoyev extended congratulations to the chess player's parents, relatives, mentors, and coaches, acknowledging their role in his development.
