A tragic road accident occurred on May 12 at around 2:00 PM on Amir Temur Street in the city of Almalyk, Tashkent region.

According to the regional traffic police, a 23-year-old driver hit two children born in 2017 while they were crossing the street on a pedestrian crosswalk.

One of the children sustained severe injuries and died in the hospital despite medical efforts. The other child was urgently hospitalized, and doctors are currently assessing the severity of their condition.

A criminal case has been initiated regarding the fatal accident, and all circumstances and causes are being investigated.
