Tashkent International Airport has become a transit point for new regular cargo flights connecting Southeast Asia and Europe, enhancing Uzbekistan's logistics potential and expanding international transportation capabilities.
Malaysian airline MASkargo operates regular flights with a technical stop in Tashkent. The flights follow the route Kuala Lumpur – Tashkent – Amsterdam and back, using Airbus A330 aircraft four times a week.
Tashkent serves as a transit point for technical stops and aircraft maintenance. The new flights increase the capital's airport significance in international cargo aviation.
MASkargo is the cargo division of Malaysia's national carrier Malaysia Airlines. Based at Kuala Lumpur International Airport, it delivers cargo to over 100 cities worldwide. The route via Tashkent is part of its global network expansion strategy.
Notably, Uzbekistan and Hong Kong plan to officially establish regular air services by summer 2026. A key point of the agreement is the potential introduction of "seventh freedom" rights for cargo aircraft.
