President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev will pay a working visit to Baku on May 17-18 at the invitation of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, according to the press service of the Uzbek leader.

During the visit, the Uzbek president will participate in and address the Leaders' Summit of the 13th session of the World Urban Forum, held under the auspices of the United Nations Human Settlements Programme (UN-Habitat).

The forum focuses on sustainable urban development, affordable housing, improving the quality of the urban environment, climate resilience, and enhancing housing financing mechanisms.

The visit also includes a series of meetings and negotiations with heads of foreign delegations, highlighting Uzbekistan's commitment to expanding international cooperation and actively engaging in global urbanization processes.
