Uzbekistan's athletics team has achieved significant success at the Asian U20 Athletics Championships, securing a total of six medals of various denominations.

The championship took place from May 28 to 31 in Hong Kong. Uzbek athletes demonstrated strong performances across multiple events.

The gold medal was won by Ruslan Sadullaev in the javelin throw. Timur Nasimov claimed the silver medal in the 5,000 meters race.

Four bronze medals were added to the team's tally. Two of them were earned by Sadafbonu Nusratilloeva, who excelled in the 5,000 meters and the 3,000 meters steeplechase. Another bronze in the 3,000 meters was won by Dilnoza Khoshimova, while Sarvar Meyliev secured a bronze in the long jump.

Earlier, in the South Korean city of Mokpo, the Asian Athletics Championships for throwing events were held, where Uzbekistan's team won two medals — gold and silver.
