President Shavkat Mirziyoyev announced at a meeting with cultural and art workers that starting from the new academic year, the salaries of teachers at 326 music and art schools across the republic will be equalized with those of general education school teachers.

The move aims to further develop the system of music and art education and provide decent remuneration for teachers working in this field.

Under the new procedure, teachers at general education and music schools will receive additional allowances of up to 20% depending on students' proficiency in playing musical instruments.

The government also set a target to attract at least 1.5 million students to music and art in the new academic year. To achieve this, creative cooperation will be established between 326 music and art schools, 29 specialized schools, and general education institutions.

Creative teams from music and art schools will regularly organize concert programs and master classes in general education schools. Additionally, annual competitions in theater, orchestra, choir, and dance will be held at district, regional, and national levels.

Winners of these competitions will receive grants of up to 500 million soums to support creative activities, purchase stage decorations, costumes, and musical instruments. Winners of the national stage will be admitted to higher education institutions of culture and art.
