The Consulate General of Uzbekistan in Turkey has reported the deaths of two Uzbek citizens in the country. On May 29, information was received about the death of a 29-year-old Uzbek woman, who allegedly committed suicide.

Efforts are underway to repatriate her body. All necessary procedures are being carried out with the involvement of the consulate and local authorities.

Earlier, in early May, an accident at an aluminum plant in Sakarya province claimed the life of a 54-year-old Uzbek man. His body has already been returned to Uzbekistan.

Turkish law enforcement agencies are continuing investigations into both incidents. These are not the first such cases involving Uzbek citizens in Turkey.

Previously, reports emerged of a 22-year-old Uzbek woman falling from a window in Izmir and the discovery of a 46-year-old woman's body in a forest in Balıkesir province.
