According to the Tourism Committee of Uzbekistan, more than 1.3 million foreign tourists visited the country in May 2026 alone.

In total, over 5.352 million tourists arrived in Uzbekistan during the first five months of 2026. This figure exceeds the result of the same period last year by 1.148 million people, or 27.3 percent.

“Such growth rates indicate that Uzbekistan is gradually becoming one of the most dynamically developing tourist destinations in Central Asia,” the statement said.

During the reporting period, the country's export of tourism services amounted to $2.244 billion, confirming the growing role of the tourism industry in ensuring foreign exchange earnings, developing the service sector, and increasing employment.
