Officers from the State Security Service and internal affairs bodies have uncovered individuals involved in the cultivation and distribution of narcotic substances during operational-search activities in Tashkent and Khorezm region.

In the Mirzo-Ulugbek district of Tashkent, authorities searched the temporary residence of a previously convicted citizen born in 1996. The inspection revealed narcotic substances stored in a plastic container, 300 zip-lock bags, adhesive tape, and electronic scales.

Preliminary investigation established that the same individual had been cultivating narcotic plants at his mother's house in the Tashkent district. During a yard inspection, law enforcement seized 10 cannabis plants, one dried narcotic plant, chemicals used for plant care, and electronic scales.

In a separate incident in the Turakurgan district, SSS and Internal Affairs officers stopped and searched a Cobalt car traveling from Samarkand to Khorezm. The vehicle contained 810 grams of opium belonging to a passenger born in 2003, a resident of the Urgut district.

Pre-investigation checks revealed that the narcotic substance had been smuggled from a neighboring country and was being transported for sale in the Khorezm region. Operational measures to identify other individuals involved in the crime are ongoing.

Criminal cases have been initiated for both incidents, and investigative actions are underway.
