Social media reported that a wolf entered residential homes and attacked residents in the Gulistan district of the Syrdarya region.

The animal allegedly bit four people, including two children, and one resident killed it with a pitchfork. Laboratory tests were taken from the injured, and treatment is underway.

The Syrdarya regional administration confirmed that the incident occurred on June 9 at around 5:30 PM in the “Ishonch” mahalla of Gulistan district, and the wolf attacked four citizens.

A local resident took prompt action, neutralizing the wild animal and eliminating the threat.

“The injured citizens were immediately provided medical assistance. Currently, their health is under the supervision of medical staff, and their condition is satisfactory,” the statement said.

Relevant organizations are conducting necessary investigations and preventive measures. The situation is under the control of the authorities.
