A citizen of Uzbekistan, accused of fraud and placed on an international wanted list, has been extradited from Moldova, according to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Uzbekistan. The individual was brought to Uzbekistan from the Moldovan capital, Chisinau.

The extradition was the result of joint operations between the National Central Bureaus of Interpol in Uzbekistan and Moldova. The international wanted notice was issued at the initiative of Uzbekistan's Interpol bureau, and constant information exchange and coordinated cooperation were established between the two countries' bureaus.

During the search operations, the fugitive's location was identified, and he was apprehended on Moldovan territory.

After the necessary extradition procedures were completed, the suspect was handed over to Uzbekistan's competent authorities for criminal prosecution.

Earlier, two women wanted by Uzbekistan were detained in Turkey and returned home. One had been on the run for six years and is accused of embezzling large sums of money from citizens by promising them jobs in the US and Europe. The second is suspected of human trafficking.
