A citizen of Uzbekistan, wanted internationally for fraud, has been extradited from Moldova to face criminal charges.
The international manhunt was initiated by Uzbekistan's National Central Bureau (NCB) of Interpol through the organization's channels. Constant information exchange and coordination with Moldovan authorities were maintained to locate and apprehend the suspect.
During joint investigative operations, his whereabouts were identified, leading to his arrest on Moldovan territory.
After the extradition procedures were completed, the suspect was handed over to Uzbekistan's competent authorities for further investigation and prosecution.
Previously, three men accused of fraud and human trafficking were brought to Tashkent after attempting to hide in the United Arab Emirates. Their return was facilitated by Uzbekistan's NCB Interpol with assistance from colleagues in Abu Dhabi.
