President Shavkat Mirziyoyev received a delegation from the Sultanate of Oman led by Minister of Economy Khamis bin Saif al-Jabri, who arrived in Uzbekistan to participate in the Tashkent International Investment Forum.
The high-ranking guest conveyed sincere greetings from Sultan Haitham bin Tariq Al Said of Oman to the head of state.
According to a press release, the sides exchanged views on enhancing cooperation in trade, economic, investment, and financial spheres.
“Dynamic contacts and growth in trade turnover were noted. Important projects are being successfully implemented with the participation of the Uzbek-Oman Investment Company. Direct flights between the capitals of the two countries will be launched starting next month,” the presidential press service said.
An agreement was reached to hold the next meeting of the joint Intergovernmental Commission in Muscat this year.
During the talks, special attention was paid to promoting promising projects in transport, logistics, geology, e-commerce, digital infrastructure, and other areas.
