On June 27 at around 14:50, authorities received a report that a citizen born in 2009 had drowned while swimming in the Shohrud canal in the Kogon district of Bukhara region.

The incident occurred in the canal flowing through the Sorgun mahalla. The canal is approximately 18-20 meters wide and 7-8 meters deep.

Rescuers from the Emergency Situations Department and local residents immediately launched search and rescue operations. After nearly 24 hours of searching, the teenager's body was recovered from the water at around 16:40 on June 28.

Currently, pre-investigation checks are being carried out by the relevant authorities regarding the incident.
