Temporary power outages are being reported in the Mirobod, Chilonzor, and Yakkasaroy districts of Tashkent, as well as in some areas of the Zangiota district of the Tashkent region. This was announced by the Ministry of Energy.

According to the ministry, the accident occurred on June 28 at 20:45 at the Yuksak substation. “Today at 20:45, due to the shutdown of equipment at the Yuksak substation in Tashkent, the L-O-Yu 110 kV power transmission lines No. 1 and 2 were emergency disconnected. Currently, special teams are working to identify and eliminate the causes of the malfunction,” reported the National Electric Grids company, responsible for the country's main power grids.

The report states that measures are being taken to supply consumers with electricity from backup sources. Energy workers apologized to consumers for the inconvenience caused.

Earlier, an online service svetanet.uz was launched in Uzbekistan, recording power outages in real time. The user only needs to send their geolocation via a Telegram bot of the same name. If another message arrives within a radius of 300 meters, a red marker appears on the map; if not, a gray one. The notification is valid for 3 hours, but it can be turned off early by marking that the power is back on.

Shukhratbek Kurbanov, author of the Kurbanoff.net blog, stated that this project is non-commercial and was created by volunteers using artificial intelligence tools as an experiment in web coding.

Earlier this month, a temporary power outage also occurred in several districts of the Uzbek capital. The Ministry of Energy reported that the cause was a transformer malfunction at the Tashkent Thermal Power Plant. Traffic lights were not working in the city, and water supply interruptions were observed. The outage also affected the metro.
