President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received a World Bank delegation led by Antonella Bassani, Vice President for Europe and Central Asia, on June 29. The meeting focused on further developing strategic cooperation within the framework of structural reforms in Uzbekistan.

The parties noted that collaboration with the international financial institution has reached an unprecedented level. The joint project portfolio has exceeded $15 billion. The World Bank's regional office in Tashkent operates successfully, and new financing instruments are being introduced.

It was highlighted that agreements reached during Mirziyoyev's meeting with the World Bank President in New York in September last year are being consistently implemented.

Special attention was paid to preparations for upcoming visits by World Bank leadership and the development of a new long-term Country Partnership Framework.

Priority areas include supporting small and medium businesses, poverty reduction programs, privatization of state enterprises, introduction of artificial intelligence technologies into the economy, financing water sector projects, human capital development, and improving Uzbekistan's positions in international rankings.
