The premiere of George Frideric Handel's opera 'Tamerlano' took place at the Royal Opera of the Palace of Versailles in Paris. The cultural event was organized on the initiative of the Uzbekistan Art and Culture Development Foundation.

The musical performance was presented by the National Symphony Orchestra of Uzbekistan. The main roles were performed by People's Artist of Uzbekistan Zhenisbek Piyazov, Juan Sancho, and Veronica Cangemi.

The international history of the project began with the premiere of the opera staged by Italian director Stefano Poda in Dubai earlier this year. Then, on April 9, the work was first performed in a concert version at the Musikverein in Vienna.

After that, the project was presented at the Mariinsky Theatre in St. Petersburg, continuing its international tour. The next stage was the performance in Paris, where the opera was performed for the first time in a concert version as an independent production.

Head of the Presidential Administration Saida Mirziyoyeva, who attended the premiere, noted that the opera 'Tamerlano' conquered Paris after Dubai, Vienna, and St. Petersburg.

'Enjoying the live performance of talented musicians, I once again became convinced that cultural diplomacy can unite different peoples,' Saida Mirziyoyeva emphasized.
