Authorities in the Bukhara region have identified a suspect who allegedly defrauded citizens by promising them jobs in Germany, the Department for Combating Economic Crimes under the General Prosecutor's Office reported.

During the pre-investigation check, it was found that citizen B.R. gained the trust of three individuals by posing as a person who had been working in Germany for many years.

He promised to send them to Germany through his supposedly high-ranking acquaintances. The suspect fraudulently obtained a total of 19,800 US dollars and 2 million Uzbek soums from the victims.

A criminal case has been initiated against B.R. under Article 168 (Fraud) and Articles 28, 211 (Complicity in bribery) of the Criminal Code. Investigative actions are currently underway.
