A gas cylinder explosion in a car in the Muborak district of Qashqadaryo region resulted in one death and two injuries, according to the regional emergency department.

The incident occurred on July 8 at 7:32 AM on the 128th kilometer of the A-380 Karshi-Bukhara highway. The methane gas cylinder installed in a Nexia 2 driven by 54-year-old J.J., traveling from Karshi towards Bukhara, ruptured.

One person in the car died at the scene. Two others were hospitalized with various injuries at the district medical center.

No fire broke out as a result of the explosion. An investigation is currently underway.
