Deputy Interior Minister Ramazan Ashropov announced at a press conference that since the beginning of the year, 18 interior ministry officers have been killed and 78 wounded while performing their duties in dangerous situations.

During this period, officers refused bribes 136 times and reported the incidents accordingly. They also ensured the safety of over 70 million participants at 125,000 public events.

Additionally, 14,342 preventable crimes were registered in the country, 2,309 fewer than in the same period last year.

Crimes committed by women decreased by 27.7%, by youth by 25.7%, by previously convicted individuals by 6.9%, and by unemployed citizens by 30.8%.

Officers initiated the detection of 19,755 crimes, a 31% increase compared to the first half of last year.

8,653 criminal cases were opened for drug trafficking, with 2.733 tons of banned substances seized, including over 52 kg of synthetic drugs and 2.651 million units of potent medications.

Operational units detained 5,010 people wanted by investigation or court. Additionally, 2,633 missing persons were found and returned to their families.

According to the ministry, no crimes were registered in 5,778 mahallas (64% of the total) over six months. Another 2,738 mahallas (30.4%) were classified as “yellow,” and 476 (5.3%) as “red.”

Over 200,000 appeals were received by the ministry. Of 184,393 appeals to territorial bodies, 146,170 were resolved positively, and 14,623 were settled through legal explanations.
